Party Party Party

Actual birthday (today) A boy and his soccor ball~
I tried to put as many pics of everyone as I could at the party. I think I got just about all, but apologize if I forgot anyone. Jayme put together another fabulous party and I think everyone had fun. I'm grateful for being able to celebrate with my Dad for his 80th and with Preston for his 5th. Missed Clark and his family and a special Happy Birthday to Brodie who also turns 5
today. 5 is the first birthday I remember so I know how special it is!! I hope I know who I am when I turn 80... Wish you couldve been here with us. Enjoy the pics and again, I apologize if I left anyone out. Carey, I only showed your back and you're celebrating a Sept birthday too - I'll make it up to you. Jenny, you too! Love you all.

Lots of Sept birthdays. YUM

Party Masters : Clown and his Shoe - I mean Lou.

SSweet gift from Kim, not only did we get to use her house, she sent Preston a fun present. I think Jayme, Sue, and Mom wanted the outfit themselves... If he gets clothes, these are the kind he loves.
Jayme did a great job decorating. Danielle and Rachel helped - It looked
tres festive! This is NOT at the party - I stuck this in, because I had 4 pictures all of Song's back - and she has such a pretty face I just threw this in. Her little "twinner" boy is pretty cute too.

Fun just keeps happening.
Vivi loves the horns and blowers. She was having a wonderful time too.
Rachel and Danielle - hanging with the cool people (notice no one else in pic) Just kidding.
Ian Johns: "whistle blower"
Sarah, doing the face painting with Preston and Will - it turned into Tattoo Town.

You all know which team I route for !!! Go Salt Lake Community College!
This face is fabulous... Jr Clownshoe

Scars and a unibrow - Ow!

Not sure why the face, but I like it.

Got the bouncy house for Grandpa... there he goes.
My favorite picture. Dennis and Ian - catching some rays.
Miss Cady enjoying the bouncy with her Momma. (that is Song's foot)
Cute decor. The Party Director in full mode.

La Di Dah

Here is my "loaner" dog, Z - enjoying some fun in the sun.........she is so sweet.

This is a really good little deli/lunch place in the Aves. Years ago, we used to do
our laundry at the cleaners/laundromat next door. It is called La Cuchina on 2nd Ave
and approx 0-P St. very nice - food excellent. Reminds me a bit of Caputo's, only
better. Anyway I just feel "right" when I go there. I guess it's just because of the
location - I love the aves. Hey Amy has left her old "living quarters" and is moving forward with life... she liked
this pic of herself and wanted me to post it. God Bless.
Roger and Dad having a visit. They enjoyed their time together and their
lunch. The report on Preston, was that he was the best boy ever on their
lunch excursion. Good Job!
Having a nap in the pool..... what else??

A Little More Summer's End

Wow, I can't believe it is already September - the tomatoes are blooming, peppers on, and zucchini! I did get 2 (count 'em) of the white "ghost" eggplants I planted.... not quite a dream crop there, but the season brought in a far better crop than we got last year. My yellow pear tomatoes are minimal, but they actually were added as an afterthought and I planted them in a shady spot. I know more sun would have made a huge difference. I tried hot peppers in my front planter and that was a mistake - I'll need to move them back to their happy place. The cukes have been nearly non-existant, but again, the planting decision I made was flawed and if it wasn't for my sweet old Daddy, they would be totally covered over by weeds. He did some good hoe-ing and I don't mean the "fun" kind. Anyway that's my produce comments for 2009. Learned some lessons - I find every year (as with everything I guess) I learn a bit more.

This is where Preston enjoys the slide the most. It's really too small for him anymore but Cady and Ian and Viv still really enjoy it. Lots of pictures of them on this thing.
Here are the main tomato bushes.

A golden zucchini just waiting to be picked..... Does anyone out there know what the white film is on the leaves? Is that normal? I seem to get it every year, it doesn't affect the zucchini but I don't know what it is.
On last horticultural thing... these are Jayme's anniversay flowers from Carey - they truly were the most gorgeous shade of pink I have seen. As you can tell, I took pictures to enjoy them for a long time! They make me happy every time I see them... Have a fun weekend, all!

Summer's End - Lazy Labor Day weekend

Mom & Dad came over - to celebrate Labor Day. ....Party on Old Folks!
This is the debonair look...Not.
The newlyweds. They will be our neighbors soon. Martha was nervous.

I thought the T-shirt was pretty clever- quite cynical for a 16 (almost 17) year old.
Alex is an incredibly thoughtful and sweet young man (sorry Alex but you are) - I think if
he wants to, he'll be a wonderful spouse someday to some lucky someone.
Adam's T-shirt: very cool.

Preston experienced his very first beesting! It was a wasp living next to the garbage cans (those darn things) so fortunately it only hurt bad for a minute. No extra allergic reaction. As you can see if puffed a bit but later, you could only see a little bump. More trauma than drama.

Preston and Papa, sorting out legos...Fun!

Mike was in town, so he and the boys came over Sunday for dinner. Not sure why but Dad and Adam were making "whiney faces". They look goofy don't they?

The ice cream truck came by and Preston had some ice cream treats... we thought he looked like a circus clown.
