A Fun Visit with Songie

Song came to SLC for a couple of days to visit...without the kids. While I miss seeing my little grand-tribe, I so enjoyed spending some quality time with their mother and I took a couple of days off work. Yeehaw. The first day of the visit we lunched at Totem's. My old boss, Dean was delightful as always and waited on us - I am always so glad to see him. He didn't recognize Song at first. He used to tease her like crazy when she was growing up. It had been a long time since they had seen each other.
We found Carla as we got there, so she came in and had lunch too! It was good to see her. Good Times ~ Good Times.
I am sure Dean is making a joke here somewhere....Jayme looks very entertained.
Carla - chatting it up.. That evening we went to the "Cheese" (Cake Factory) with the "Girls" It was fun to have Song there too, because she usually isn't available for the Girls Night events.
Kiyoko enjoying the huge menu...
Sue already knew what she wanted.... Amy Girl. Laughing. Becky is telling her a story (B is not pictured, she kept putting her hand up in front of her face) but she was there.
My yummy dinner. Miso Salmon - it really was delicious and large - ate the leftovers for lunch the next day. It just was really pretty so I wanted to share the picture.
Of course, my BFF was there too... a rare but special event. We had a great time.

On Saturday, Song and I went to the Salt Lake City Library - she had not visited before, so we got a little sight seeing in and I enjoyed showing her the fun spots within. We both love the library! Songie, enjoying one of the shops... we had a good time. It was a treat to spend a couple of days together. We went to the gym every morning. (Song is training for SLC marathon - I am not) She ran, I walked. We saw The Blindside (it was really good) with Jayme and Carey and rented Julie and Julia (also very good) to watch at home and just all in all had a great visit. The best gift is time with family and friends. (besides my beautiful necklace and cards that Will and his sibs made!)
