Crazy Stuff and Crackerman

I wanted to include my little friend(s) Preston - plus you got Z in the bargain. This is a picture I took of Preston for his "All About Me" Poster that Yaya made for him for his school. A boy and his dog. Sounds like a good idea for a movie ?
Did some dishes and laundry on an off night. There is no significance
in it at all, I just liked the way the colors looked in the camera lens.....
This is a perfect stranger- this dude, at around 10-10:30 am - takes 2 whips
from the back of his red car across the street from our office and walks to the raised grass divider in the road and cracks his bullwhips - ker-RACK ! Whack! KerACK! Does this for about
15 minutes and returns the whips to the truck of his car and casually walks back to where-ever
it is he works. This whole scenario is fascinating to me. He does this nearly every day. I try to get close up, but for some reason I am all nervous that he might see me. I'm certain he wouldn't come after me with the whips and if he didn't want anyone to see him, he sure wouldn't choose the middle of the road to practice his cracking whips with but he is pretty exciting to me .... every day for those 15 minutes my imagination goes WILD! - Blow up the pics so you can see the whips - CRACK THWACK ker-ACK!!!!
Another day out practicing....
Double crackin' - Wow -
Another pic of the Preston man, playing in water in the front. It's amazing to me to watch
kids with a bucket of water - you can just see that whole world of possibilities while he's playing
in that bucket. Maybe that's what goes on with the whipcrackerman.
Oil tanker spill!!! Watch out.. I think I better hit the hay. I'm getting goofy.

Summer Vacation June 2009

Aahh! The magic kingdom - Or Disney Castle (as Preston calls it) This is on Will's birthday.
We left at 7:00a got to the kingdom at 8:00a, got inside and the doors opened at 9:00a - it was nice - cool and a little misty. Walked right into the Jungle Cruise, Pirates of the Caribbean, and Teacups (loved it) and the Tiki Hut - (loved it) - Poor Viv hated the noisy and dark rides. I felt sorry for her - she got scared and had a little accident, but it was ok. Read Song's blog for the full details about the rides and especially Will being picked to be a Jedi in training (Padowan) - it was just so exciting!!! My heart was pounding just watching all the Star Wars action and we also saw Buzz Lightyear. I though Ian would explode!!! Fun Fun Fun....
Song and Cady enjoying the Jungle ride. Viv was NOT.
This pic is from Sea World - the boys all wore their Superman shirts and were really
cute. Notice Ian's sunglasses - he's starting a new fad.....
This is my favorite picture of our Cady girl. She loved the beach. The thing clutched in her sweet little hand is a sand-crusted ritz cracker- she ate the whote thing!!!!!
My goofy grandson Will wanted me to photograph his Lego Darth Vader - here is the best one, we took several and boy was it ever a fun time. Here you go, Will!!! Blow it up, it's really awesome~~~~
Vivi and Will (and family) watching Shamu - I loved the show - again go to Song's blog for the really great pics - Dennis was snapping away and got some really beautiful picutres of the Sham.

Here is another fun moment in the penthouse kitchen of Ian in the cupboard.
Our usual hilarious selves - I like to be the photographer for the family.
Song and I were laughing - kids were mixed in their fun time but we had a
great trip. I love hanging out with the grandies and my Songie and Dennis.

We did the farmers market , the beach and just all around had a wonderful time. I miss everyone as soon as we separate.

Lucky 7 - Happy Birthday Will!

Will turned 7 on Friday! We were in Oceanside CA and went to Disneyland with the family. Will chatted with lots of people and had a great day. He battled Darth Vader and after Gma and the little ones went back to the hotel, his parents took him back to the magic kingdom for the rest of the evening. I don't usually get to be with Will on the special day so it was really fun! He is a true Gemini - note the 2 names on his badges - "Will" and "Dennis" - he goes by both or either. Sweet and Sour, Quiet or Dramatic, Estatic or Devastated, Always smart and Always My Lovey. Will stayed with me in "our" hotel room. This is his morning wakeup. He is usually not so lively this early (he takes after his mother this way) but was excited to start being 7 right away!

Who's at Bat???

Preston started WV junior baseball this week. Sadly I was not able to be there, but his Yaya and Papa were and Aunts Sue and Becky - from what I understand it was successful except at the end of the game, there was some real concern from Preston about where his trophy was. He wanted one bad. Kids - they are so funny. Here are some of the highlights from the game against the Orange Team.

Preston and his Blue Team- first day!
Getting batting instruction from his coach -

More instruction from another coach....

At bat!

Third base instruction from Aunt Sue. She actually ran in with him. Way to go!
